New Zealand
I’ve had the chance to live in this gorgeous country for the past two years. Photography was the main reason for me to come enjoy this incredible scenery. I was not disappointed!
This photo of the most famous tree in New Zealand was taken when it was still mostly dark, which allowed for a beautiful long exposure.
When Lake Pukaki looks more like a sea than a lake, because of the strong wind that created beautiful waves.
A beautiful evening light shining on those rock formations, which were only visible because the level of the lake was so low.
Those clouds were absolutely epic! What a sunset this was, with colors in those clouds that stayed for a good hour after the sun disappeared.
A gorgeous and peaceful sunrise at Hooker Lake after having spent the entire night out shooting the Milky Way. I really love the ice on the lake: winter is the best season!
This lake is incredibly famous to capture a perfect reflection. Whether it is the pink glowing light of sunset on those peaks or the blue hour, it doesn’t disappoint… when we get good weather.
I wasn’t alone that morning. The light was almost inexistent, but the atmosphere was incredible.
There is something about the colors in that photo that I absolutely love. Not to mention the place, which is one of my favorites in New Zealand.
This photograph is special to me because it sums up my time in New Zealand on so many levels. It was taken from the window of my van, as I looked out for the first time in the morning.
I have photographed at this location many times but this was one of the most peaceful and beautiful sunsets I’ve seen. The colors were fabulous.
What a glorious sunset I was rewarded with on my third night in this magical place.
A very famous lighthouse in the south of New Zealand. The conditions did not disappoint, both for sunset and sunrise, as well as at night for the Milky Way.
These pine trees just look like a line of spectators. What is there not to admire: fresh snow on mountains, one of my favorite elements in a landscape.
Sometimes you don’t expect conditions to be that good. The reflection was almost perfect as I managed to get back to this location in time, once I had grabbed my camera gear at home.
The light on the top of the mountain and on those trees was gorgeous. This scene reminded me of Scotland a lot, another country I totally love.
An early morning shot, just before sunrise, at this location well-known for the blooming lupins during summer.
A panorama taken on the Hooker Valley track, in Mount Cook National Park. The light that evening was absolutely epic, with an amazing red hue. The glaciers were brown, because of the wildfires in Australia.
What caught my eyes in the grand landscape in front of me was those two trees, standing all alone but very close to each other.
I obviously wish I had some colorful clouds that evening but just being in this place to enjoy sunset was a delight in itself.
The road to Milford Sound is absolutely stunning, no matter what the weather is like. I actually really like the moody wet weather compared to a blue sky in a location such as this.
Twizel was buried in the fog for a week, but how can I complain when we get conditions such as these? Beautiful frost on colorful trees in the middle of winter.
It gets even better when you manage to get reflection of those frost-covered trees.
